I particularly liked the scene where Kate bites Father’s hand.
Top-notch silent movie acting. The film is quite something to look at, though it lacks the visual experimentation that you see all over Sunrise. The footage of wheat harvesting was really something to see. The harvesting machinery looked so fragile that a gust might blow it to pieces. Similarly, the scenes in Kate’s Chicago diner were really something. An impressive bustle, for sure.
